The presentation will cover the basics of surge protection, and dig deeper into surge protective device operation, industry standards including UL1449 3rd Edition, performance ratings and testing terms.  The audience will learn how to specify the correct SPDs for a variety of applications.

Eric is the Senior Field Engineer of the Western Region for Mersen USA, based in Santa Monica, California.  Eric graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1996.  He is a registered professional engineer and has held positions in electrical design, field engineering, and has directed a number of projects.
