For the rental portion, our speaker Chris Fry will bring along a 60 kw rental unit for some hands on presentation and discussion. He will discuss rating requirements, cabling requirements, output voltage capabilities, site access, re-fueling requirements, environmental issues (noise levels, emissions and fuel storage) and general cost information.
For the start and test portion, our speaker John Boro will discuss
examples from specifications based on his experience, as well as some of the
obstacles and challenges in meeting the specification. He will discuss
reactive vs resistive load bank testing at the jobsite, placement of the load
bank, access to the site, NFPA 110 testing and coordination, transient
monitoring and recording, fuel tank pressure testing and site readiness for the
test.
